Agenda 11/15-11/19

Learning Objectives this week:
The student will apply active reading strategies to answer comprehension questions about their reading.  They will use context clues, dictionaries, and thesauruses to determine the meaning of words.  They will continue to follow the writing process by revising and editing their personal narrative.  During the revision of their personal narrative, they will add proper transitional words and phrases as well as include compound sentences to enhance their narrative. The students will prove their knowledge of their reading by completing an assessment on their class novels.
Monday, November 15th
  • SSR - begin reading new SSR book - Independent reading activity #1 is Due Friday
  • PRESS reading passages
  • Personal Narratives - Continue revising and editing - work on crafting a good lead
  • On Level: Read ch. 6-10, answer questions/vocab, character maps
  • Pre AP: Read ch. 6-10, answer questions/vocab

Tuesday, November 16th
  • SSR

  • Subject/ Verb Agreement
  • Personal Narratives - Prepare final draft, revise transition, Paper and Poster Due Friday
