Agenda 9/13-9/17

Monday Objective:
The students will write an imaginative story with a defined plot and point of view.  They will include a believable setting with sensory details as well as dialogue.  The writing process will be followed.  They will recognize the elements of fiction and apply active reading strategies.  They will use and understand the function of parts of speech.

Tuesday Objective:
The students will use and understand the function of parts of speech. They will apply active reading strategies by asking questions and making inferences with text evidence.

Wednesday Objective: PEP RALLY SCHEDULE
The students will apply active reading strategies.  They will continue to recognize the 6+ traits of writing.  They will correctly use punctuation and capitalization.

Thursday Objective:
The students will apply the active reading strategies of questioning, infering and summarizing.  The students will use capitalization and puntuation correctly.

Friday Objective:
The students will apply active reading strategies.  They will continue reading and making inferences with text evidence.  They will write a persuasive speech utilizing the appropriate author's purpose.  They will understand new vocabulary and use it when reading and writing.
