Agenda 9/20 - 9/24

Objectives this week: The students will apply active reading strategies including summarizing, paraphrasing, making inferences using text evidence, and asking questions.  They will analyze the effects of author's choices on figurative language such as metaphors, similes, hyperbole, and personification.  They students will determine the meaning of words through affixes and will use the dictionary/glossary/thesaurus to help.  The students will continue to use capitalization and punctuation correctly.
